Dr. Dewasurendra is from Canton, Michigan and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomolecular Science from the University of Michigan. He completed his pharmacy education at the University of Michigan in 2022 (Go Blue!). After graduation, he completed his
PGY1 training at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. His current infectious diseases interests include antimicrobial resistance and difficult to treat fungal infections. In his free time, Samath enjoys playing board games with his wife and friends,
playing video games, cooking, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with his two cats, Merlin and Matilda.
